Another great find when it comes to innovative startups! We recently came across a venture called CollegeOwlz, which, as they put it, “is a purpose-built online platform developed with the college student in mind, operating as an exclusive online marketplace and social networking portal that enhances the college experience.” How does it do this? For starters, CollegeOwlz allows students to not only buy and sell used textbooks to other students but college notes as well – and all is a highly secure way, “both from their local campus and connected schools.”
On a mission to help students not only save time but cold hard cash, CollegeOwlz is a great venture. In addition to being a handy marketplace, it’s a great place to stay connected with other students as well and the team has big plans! Founded back in 2014, the site is approaching its official launch date of March 2015, where it will launch in 10 colleges in the Pacific Northwest (specifically, “Eastern Washington University, Gonzaga University, Lewis & Clark State College, North Idaho College, Spokane Community College, Spokane Falls Community College, University of Idaho, University of Montana, Washington State University, and Whitworth University).
By signing up to the site, students will get “instant access to resources such as lecture notes, study guides, book notes and flashcards, via a range of supported connection devices “ The site is accessible from any and every major device and platform to “help students stay connected.” We are expecting great things from this venture and will be sure to update you upon the official release! Be sure to check them out!
