We recently featured FiNe on StartupCatchup and were introduced to Kloset Karma shortly after. The idea behind the startup (their app is available in the Apple Store), is that “These days our clothes only last one social media post at a time. We refuse to repeat outfits that our friends already liked, commented or retweeted. Our closets are full, but we have nothing to wear.” Under the motto, “If you give you shall receive”, Kloset Karma is helping rid the world of things like – “Oh…that looks nice…didn’t you wear that to the party last time too?” Go check them out!
How does it work? According to their site, “You let go of your almost new clothing pieces and accessories that your friends already saw in exchange of Karma Points. You use these to get new outfits from other fashionistas around you without spending money!” The app itself is incredibly easy to use – simply browse for what’s available around you. Found an item you like? Comment, like or get the actual item! It all works on a brilliantly simple point system. You can even search the area via a map, where you can filter on things like style, size, color, or the amount of points required (this helps you avoid breaking the ‘virtual’ bank too!) In short, “clean your closet, earn Karma points and shop your heart out without the guilt.”
